Hi everyone. Beginner here. I managed to install preshow on my shield. Also installed both the modified rapier skin and the aeon knox skin. No matter what I do, with either skins, I can't get the context menu to show any options to launch a sequence from preshow experience. I tried searching around for answes, but I can't find anything adressing this issue. I am using the shield remote. Thank you in advance! Any help is much appreciated.

Hi all, I do not know in this is the right forum but does anyone know if you can deactivate the loading sign when you jump from one sequence to the next?

The feature is automatically skipped after 6 seconds. Not sure why this is happening.

Do we have official instructions on how to implement Philips Hue lights with PreShow so that they dim, shut off, and turn on at certain parts of the sequence? I want to be able to integrate this, and I've seen mentions here and there, but I just wanted to know if someone has made official instructions on how to do this. I haven't had time to actually go through the CinemaVision instructions so if they work without needing to edit, then I apologize in advance. Would it be possible for PSE to scrape Kodi video sources for local trailers, instead of relying on the trailer folder in the content path? Over the years, I accumulated dozens of movie trailers with uncompressed HD audio that are saved in the corresponding movie folders, e.g.: Dune Part Two (2024) Dune Part Two (2024)-trailer Kodi automatically picks these up when I play trailers from the movie information screen. It would be awesome if I could tap into my existing collection without needing to manually copy them into the content path, also considering that doing so would double my storage requirements.

hi, I would like to install a sleep function in the cvaction. How does this work? The light should stay on for e.g. 3 minutes and then slowly go out I've tried it before but somehow it doesn't work. One could trick cinemavision to work with discs (Bluray / DVD) as well. I'm not quite sure how I did it, but it either worked by playing a directory using two files ("empty" with black screen & media stub for disc playback) or by using a playlist file containing the media stub file. Playback could be triggered by running a python script in the menu. If I remember correctly this did no longer work starting with Kodi 19 or at least I'm currently unable to reproduce this behaviour. I tried to recreate this, but to no avail. I also tried starting the disc directly with the PlayDisc()-command and having basically no feature. This will work when testing in the edit…

I downloaded the “Coca-Cola Behind the scenes” slides from here and place the folder in the Slideshow folder. I installed the module and pointed to the folder. A couple things - can’t seem to change the duration - the slider moves, but the “seconds” doesn’t update. And when the sequence runs, it just skips that module. I also noticed that while editing this sequence, in red - lower right-hand corner, it says “INACTIVE” - which I don’t recall seeing previously. Any thoughts?

When I insert a module into a sequence (by accident or somehow) I‘m not able to delete (remove) the icon… PSE says „The PreShow must have a feature module.“ The sequence does have a feature module at its end! I use PSE 0.2.5 where I read something about „… can be deleted“ - so I think I‘m wrong. But how? Thanks to all! Greetings from Bavaria - Robert

hi there, I just installed the latest preshow on Kodi 20 nexus on my Nvidia Shield. I configured a test sequence which has nothing more than a trailer and feature module. My basic wants for the addon are to just show some trailers before a movie. I set the content folder to my movie folder (because I wont be using local content for now) I selected imdb trailers and TMDB trailers When I test the sequence in the settings app it plays just fine, but when I use the content sensitive option on a movie and try to launch the preshow it starts to load but then just goes to the movie. I’ve completely uninstalled PreShow Experience and reinstalled. I’ve made sure the Youtube plugin is installed. I’ve enabled all sources and ran content updates several times. I start with a new blank sequence, put in a trailers module - set it to 3 trailers. Do a “preview” - it turns the screen black and then returns. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the Youtube plugin as well. I’m out of ideas unless someone can tell me that this is just broken for now?

Finally moving the media servers I manage forward to Kodi v20/21 and moving over from CinemaVision to PSE. Doing some testing so far I've found a few issues. First, trivia cannot be skipped. This isn't running on a shield it's in Windows 10. Second local trailers do not scrape and therefor do not work. Third, I believe there was a fix for this before but between each video the "working" pop-up gets annoying and would be great to have that hidden. Fourth along the same line if the feature to be played is on a hard drive that is currently sleeping by the time the sequence gets to playing the main feature you are greeted with a long pause while the…

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I got a Synology Nas and since I moved all my PSE stuff from my externl drives to the NAS, i cant play the trailer sequence in my PreShows anymore, but everything else works fine. I updated the directory to the NAS, PSE is able to write to it, I could choose single files for the actions and I use NFS. I thought I could work around by adding a video module via directory, but then it does not show me my network storage. Only external drives and a root-system. But if I add a video module and choose a single file, I can choose the NFS Networkstorage. Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

Hi, I have local trailers for almost every movie, and do not have the YouTube add-on installed because historically for me is stays broken a lot. So I do not want that to be part of the PreShow Experience. I want PreShow to use only the trailers scraped into the KODI database. Yet when I use PreShow, I get the message that the YouTube add-on is required during the trailer sequence. Is there no way to prevent this? This happens with versions 3.41. and 3.4.3. Never had this issue with CV before, so something in PreShow is different. thx

Hi Matt, seems finally I was able to solve my random skipping issues like discussed here: https://preshowexperience.com/forums/topic/1913-feature-is-being-skipped/#findComment-2902 I disabled “allow skipping” in PSE settings. So far so good! Now I have the next issue. I am using external player in Kodi for windows. Kodi launches MPC-HC to play a file. Now it seems when starting the feature from PSE playback in external player stops after some seconds. Could it be that PSE does not get the current playback status from Kodi? Hello everyone, I have a question about Preshow Experience in the context of Jellyfin: Does this work or does the addon only work with content that is local? I have configured Preshow so far and created a first sequence. This also works when I use the integrated preview. However, I have not been able to get it to work before the actual movies. I have worked through the guides and unfortunately found nothing on the subject of whether it still needs to be activated somehow or how I need to start the actual movie so that the addon becomes active. Hello, I have migrated from CV running on Matrix to Omega. I have everything setup, but for some reason if the Trivia module is active in the sequence, the sequence will not play, and only a black screen is displayed. I checked the KODI log but nothing looks wrong. I am using the trivia files migrated over from CV, so I am assuming those are compatible? thx

I was hoping for a menu item when long pressing on a movie or it even starts automatically when I start the movie, but nothing so far. What do I need to do? Thanks
