For most modules, pressing ESC while previewing exits the preview and returns to the Sequencer as expected. However, the Trivia module behaves differently. When Trivia is launched using Preview and ESC is pressed to exit, preShow Experience closes entirely and returns to the main Kodi screen instead of returning to the Sequencer. This can result in the loss of any unsaved changes made to the sequence before the Trivia preview was started. Steps to ReproduceOpen preShow Experience and enter the Sequencer. Make one or more changes to a sequence without saving them. Select a Trivia module and launch it using Preview. Press ESC to exit the Trivia preview. Actual ResultpreShow Experience exits completely and returns to the main Kodi screen. Any unsaved changes made to the sequence prior to starting the preview are lost. Expected ResultPressing ESC while previewing the Trivia module should behave consistently with other module previews: the preview should close and the user should be returned to the Sequencer with the current sequence and any unsaved changes intact. ImpactThis is particularly problematic because the behavior differs from other module previews. A user accustomed to pressing ESC to return to the Sequencer has no indication that doing so from Trivia will instead exit preShow Experience. Because the application exits without preserving the current sequence state, this can cause significant work to be lost. Suggested BehaviorThe Trivia preview should handle ESC in the same manner as other module previews and return directly to the Sequencer. If exiting preShow Experience is ever possible while there are unsaved sequence changes, it may also be beneficial to display a confirmation prompt before allowing those changes to be discarded.Thu, 20 Aug 2026 13:41:33 +0000Curious if there’s a way to program a sequence action or other method to advance to the next item based on a specific clock time. Here’s the scenario I run into: we program outdoor movies in our park, and the schedule needs to be pretty precise. We typically run a 30-minute block of trivia while people get situated, followed by a 9-minute theater intro, with the feature film starting right at 8:00 PM. That means I need to start the sequence at exactly 7:21 PM to keep everything on schedule. The issue is that if I start the sequence a minute or two late, the entire schedule gets pushed back. I’d rather not have to keep watching the clock to make sure I hit 7:21 exactly. Ideally, I’d like to place an action just before the trivia block that essentially says, “Wait here until 7:21 PM, then advance to the next item.” That way, I could start the sequence anytime before 7:21, and it would automatically move into trivia at the correct time. Is there currently a way to accomplish this in PreShow Experience, or perhaps another method that would achieve the same result? Infotainment creates a dynamic presentation based on the movie you are about to watch. It can combine animated movie trivia, cast challenges, obscured actors, movie scrambles, quotes, taglines, production facts, filmmaker connections, movie stills, multiple-choice questions, feature introductions, and other interactive content. More than 20,000 new trivia entries have been developed to support it, covering movies, actors, directors, characters, franchises, and filmmaking history. The system is designed to feel like a curated show rather than a repeating slideshow. Existing image-based trivia can still be used in the new Infotainment presentation. The familiar building blocks of PreShow are still here, including trailers, countdowns, theater intros, courtesy messages, short films, rating cards, audio-format demonstrations, slideshows, loops, bumpers, and automations. The addon starts up but when I try to edit the sequence, the buttons are not visible and I cannot do anything. I tried to import one of my old sequence and it seems like loads in but anything I try to choose there is no buttons after the bottom line. The play button gives me complete black screen and I have to kill kodi and restart it again. I have installed the addon from the repo 0.3.7.a1 on android tv. my content path is in the network NAS. use to work so I beleive it’s writable did not change anything. Does anyone know about this issue, is it fixable somehow? p.s.: oookay I have asked too fast. I created a new folder I had my existing preshow folder on my NAS and it did not work with that. Until yesterday, my trailers in the pre-show were working normally... I have it configured to show trailers for movies I don't own, with the intention of discovering new things. But today it stopped working; it only pulls trailers for movies I have in the database, and if I disable the Kodi database option, it doesn't play any trailers at all, it just stays stuck on a black screen. PosterFlow started as a personal home theater project. I wanted a cleaner way to manage digital poster screens without constantly juggling folders, images, slideshow tools, display windows, schedules, and manual updates. The goal was to make poster displays feel more like part of a real cinema/preshow setup instead of just a rotating image folder. PosterFlow is a Windows desktop app with an Admin console and display client for managing poster artwork, collections, schedules, and live display output. Some of the current features include: Local and network display clients Poster library scanning and collection management Push Live workflow for sending the current layout to a display Per-display personalization Built-in poster transitions Scheduling and movie-event support Optional provider/reference plugin support, including TMDB and FanartTV-style workflows Metadata plugin support for sources like NFO, Kodi, and Plex Early access activation and download delivery The idea is that you can build and manage poster collections from one place, preview how they’ll look, and then push them out to a poster screen, lobby display, or remote display client when you’re ready. I’ve also adjusted the project so it is presented more as a donation/support-based early access project rather than a traditional “buy this product” sales pitch. I’m mainly hoping to get real feedback from home theater and preshow users who run dedicated poster screens, lobby displays, or multi-monitor cinema setups.
