First set of Wilkins Coffee Commercials Wilkins and Wontkins were Muppet-like characters made by Jim Henson with their own 10-second, sadistic, violent commercials for many products, starting with Wilkins Coffee (hence the characters' namesakes). Background Information In 1957, Jim Henson was approached by a Washington D.C. coffee company to produce commercials for Wilkins Coffee. The local stations only had ten seconds for station identification, so the Muppet commercials had to be lightning-fast— essentially almost said, eight seconds for the commercial pitch and a two-second shot of the product. From 1957 to the mid 1960s, Henson made 179 commercials (at least or most) for Wilkins Coffee and other products and coffee, some of these including Community Coffee, Nash's Coffee, La Touraine Coffee, and even Wilkins Tea. The ads were initially filmed at Rodel Studios in Washington D.C. Synopsis The ads starred the cheerful Wilkins, who likes Wilkins Coffee (or another brand specified), and the grumpy Wontkins, who hates it. Wilkins would often do serious harm/injury to Wontkins in the ads— blowing him up, stabbing him with a knife, and smashing him with a club, among many other violent acts, even humiliating Wontkins to the extent from blowing up his home to throwing Wontkins off of a plane for not bringing/wanting any certain brand of food, drink, etc (though other times, Wilkins instead doesn't kill Wontkins, and sometimes Wontkins likes it). During or after, Wilkins would say a punchline based on the commercial, such as: "Sorry, but that other stuff is for the birds!" Why It's Cursed Wilkins would mock and punish Wontkins in almost all of the commercials and just over a specific brand of coffee, bread, tea, soda, and even an oil company (not counting some of the Frank's beverages commercials). Also, Wilkins is somewhat similar to Kermit, though Jim Henson didn't mind at the time since the commercials were somewhat when Kermit gained traction during the early years. Trivia Jim Henson put so much violence in the ads, because he believed that the best way to advertise something to someone was to make them laugh, which is why the commercials are so violent. Violence was considered comedy at the time these ads were produced, though they would be hated by certain people nowadays due to this. The Wilkins Coffee commercials became so popular, Jim Henson started doing commercials, using Wilkins and Wontkins, for other companies, too. Most of these companies that Jim Henson advertised/sold products for are either defunct or just rarely available at times, such as Community Coffee and Merita Bread. When Jim Henson actually made these commercials for Wilkins Coffee in the beginning, Jim himself didn't even like coffee. As quote from NJGuy1973 on YouTube: "Supposedly, Henson was having trouble coming up with a way to sell a product he didn't like, and when asked if he would ever drink coffee, he said 'Maybe with a gun to my head.' The rest is history." Most, if not all, of these commercials were made on film, which means it is harder to archive Wilkins and Wontkins commercials, as there were hundreds of them. So far, only 30 to 45 minutes worth of Wilkins and Wontkins commercials are archived as of now until then. The original company the Wilkins and Wontkins commercials were aired for, Wilkins Coffee, was originated in 1899 by John H. Wilkins Sr. It is now owned by around 20 shareholders. Only a few commercials were in color, specifically ones with other brandings. With this now in mind, it is revealed that Wilkins was brown, and Wontkins was red (though Wontkins' red color is similar to Elmo's)

  3. You running 20.1 ? I heard that dolby vision mkv was supposed to be supported in 20.1. It was on the list ?? Myself I'm a little behind I'm still running on Matrix have it tweaked just right and now I have to start over from scratch. But it was on the list it not this release the next the way I understood it
  4. If it has to be real audio what does it do when there is multiple audio tracks? Does it detect the one it is playing or the one that is the default audio channel ?
  5. Can you show your action file that's giving you trouble?
  6. Mines getting there, got alot more work to do on it tho..
  7. I also found a glitch of some out dated code if your having trouble with motion posters with gifs it might actually be your computers name if it has # in the name the naming is out dated and doesn't convert # to %23 so when the program makes the html file to display the gif in the program it's names the wrong file location... I think I also found away to fix the game stats but the developer said he is working on an update and I guess I should let him do his thing before doing all the work for nothing...
  8. I haven't tracked down the code for that link yet but I have changed the code in mine so Preshow displays instead of CinemaVision while you're playing your sequence (I'm talking about when your motion posters detects your useing CinemaVision and it's not something with a poster art attached to it like trivia for example it would display CinemaVision logo) I switched mine to Preshow
  9. Give me a few days I'll make a tutorial.. it's not hard to-do just alot of instructions to type
  10. Yes media companion allows you to pull posters and art from all the sources imdb, tmdb, fanart.tv ect does it all automatically but can easily change with a push of a button even pick resolution case you want higher quality or save some space. and that's for all you art to, I don't know if your skin uses it but all the clear art ,logos , thumbs, banners ect . ect.. and yes it pulls all the actors names and thumbs, tag lines , plot , ratings from all the critics and everything else.. it's a little overwhelming with all it can do at first but it's straight forward and easy to work with .. will do tv of course also and music videos and home movies .. I'm not trying to push you on anything but It free after all but it would take me hours to go over everything it does .. ( even does file renaming if you want) don't think you can go wrong with it .. but like I said it can be overwhelming with all the features.... ( sorry for the bad grammar half asleep )
  11. The glow sticks were a way of turning the slides into an interactive game. You'll find them on several of the slide sets. Basically, on the multiple choices cards we setup the answers using the four most common glow stick colours. Then you participants could have one of each colour and hold it up. Then when it transferred to the answer slide you could see who was correct
  12. Did you try downloading one of the simpler visualizations one that's not so CPU intensive ?? Just need to keep activity going in the background
  13. I use Media Companion it's completely free, actively being developed, its easy to use and has every feature I can think of .. (And it's Portable you could run it of a USB stick if you desired) https://sourceforge.net/projects/mediacompanion
  14. You could try turning on use visualization while playing audio and if you don't use music while playing trivia Try also putting keep audio device alive and put it under the 5 min you set for the screen saver.

    Custom Sequences by Date?

You can actually do this now with the active and not active sequences you can use date rating ect.. the only problem is the Trivia.. your default Trivia folder is the only one you can have in a sequence so having separate Trivia slides wouldn't work currently but separate Bumpers for holidays ect does ..
  16. Did you hit the skip button on your remote?
  17. Is anyone else having issues with the editor selection screen not letting you select Play with the arrow keys ?? You have to push down when on the Edit Sequence instead of arrowing over to the play button ( on Android )
  18. I use it for lights and everything else but i think I might be unique in i also use it to make audio announcements to the whole house like " TheThe movie preshow has begun.. dont Forget to grab some popcorn and refreshments.. NightWatcherTheater snackbar is now open"
