I will be working on some site updated over the holidays. It may be a little bumpy during the process.

Did anyone watch any good scary movies in October?

  4. When I was a kid, my parents had a blacked out room with a massive 35-40" TV. I would invite friends over and would ask them to bring a rented VHS tape over and we'd watch that, along with something that I selected. One time I put on one of my favorite movies, The Road Warrior. As we were watching it, my buddy kept saying that it reminded him so much of his movie and he thought that maybe the same actor played the main character in both movies. And then we put on his favorite movie: Mad Max. We were young and there wasn't an internet for us to learn about movies, so we had no idea that they were sequels. We obviously became best frien…

  6. I have an Nvidia Shield and when I get to the trivia sequence I am unable to skip it to move on to the next sequence. I've pressed every button and nothing is able to do it. Do any of you have any suggestions? Or could we implement something to make that possible in the next update?

Random question to anyone running Kodi 21.0 on a Shield Pro with 4k video files, do you get chapter marks when playing them? I am working my way through my media collection (reencoding some and pulling all the extras for kodi) and have found that my 4k's are not showing chapter marks(all other videos show them). I have a win 11 pc (running 21.0 also) I install and test Kodi on before upgrading the shield and the chapters show on it.

I have a ton of TIFF files that I tried with the Trivia sequence and it shows every file, but it isn't showing them in order. The trivia I'm specifically working on is for Christmas and I have named my files like this: For Multiple Choice: ChristmasMC1_q ChristmasMC1_c1 ChristmasMC1_a For Quotes: ChristmasQ1 Am I naming them incorrectly? For some reason it just refuses to show in the proper order and I thought it could either be the file format or the naming convention.

  10. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this and it's not a huge issue, it just makes me curious as to why it's happening. Basically, when I play a video whether it be through PreShow Experience (Kodi) or Plex the audio takes a second or two to kick in. It's not a smooth transition when going through the sequences because you see the video playing and then all of the sudden the audio kicks in which is incredibly annoying. The audio isn't out of sync with the video, it just cuts out in the beginning of every single video I play during a PreShow Experience sequence. This will happen if I pause and unpause a video as well. Like I said, it's not a deal breaker, …

  11. I have a couple of Philips Hue Gradient light strips (they are not the Play ones you attach to the back of your TV), and I wondered if there was a way to put them in action files with their gradient capabilities. I know how to make them change to a certain color, but I can't figure out how to make them change to certain gradients. If any of you know how to do this please let me know!

What's on everyone's watchlist for spooky season? I'm starting out with a standard summer camp revenge flick The Burning (1981) Will definitely watch at least a couple A Nightmare on Elm Street & Friday the 13th It's obligatory to watch some Halloween but always have trouble deciding which of the 3 timelines that start from Halloween (1978) I should go with https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-original-timeline https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-ends or https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-alternate-reality (The continuity on this is worse than Terminator) Idle Hands because for whatever reason I love this movie Probably some Final Destination But that…

  13. Holiday Playlists.zip View File Credit to @Martinsvision over on Cinemavision's site for providing the original zip file. This is the old Holiday music playlist zip from Cinemavision, with a slight change. I went through the old playlists and removed the ones that were no longer working. Noticed the feature request area is no longer listed in the browse banner. It's still there, but doesn't seem you can navigate to it unless you know it was there. Not sure if it was moved or by design or is being tracked somewhere else. Just bringing it up in case it wasn't intentional.

Blank.zip View File 3 black video files. 1 second, 2 seconds, and 5 seconds. You may find use for them. Personally I use the 1 second in CinemaVision after Trivia because I found it flaked out right after Trivia. I don't know yet if PreShow Experience suffers from the same issue. 17. View File Volume Normalizer Master Volume Normalizer Master This is the program i use to level the volume on my bumpers , Since i use Passthrough audio with kodi the volume adjustments in Preshow wont work with some of my bumpers so i found this to level them all to the same volume . Its convenient to use you can pick a file to match the rest of your bumpers to or pick one of the various other ways to level the volume.. The FREE version has a limit of ONE Minute of audio , But is plenty in most cases for bumpers if longer is needed You can pu…

I have created some slides for my system, but I can't seem to get them to be recognized. I think it's the filename convention. I have three kinds of slides: 1. Trivia Question 2. Trivia Answer 3. Actor/Movie facts I had the question and answer slides named with "_Q" and "_A" at the end of the slide description, and I named the fact slides sequentially..... Any tips?

I know this is all new, but because of that I think it would be a great time to see if you can work with Plex so that it's an easy implementation! It would be the greatest update Plex has ever made to their application, and I know that so many of us would love/use it! If there is anything I can do on my end to help this process progress and go smoothly please let me know. I have since uploaded a "Feature Request" on Plex's forums here

  22. I know I should know this, but I haven't had a reason to until starting to look at installing PreShow on my Fire TV Cube so I can move over some bumpers, etc. I tried looking it up on the Kodi forums and Wiki, but I haven't found a definitive answer. I know several people here use Android devices, so thought I eat some crow and ask. I presume it's all the same with Android, but I could be wrong. Did some more searching. I guess the terms I was originally using were wrong. I see Android doesn't support it natively and you have to install a SSH server. Looks like SSHelper is an option? Haven't check the Amazon store to see if it's available yet. Is that similar…

  23. I use tinyMediaManager and they just released that last update for the free version 3. I like tMM because it's basically an all in one program that wraps up my movies in a nice package. It creates the .nfo files, downloads the artwork and links to trailers, etc. What does everybody else use? https://www.tinymediamanager.org/ To get the latest free version of 3.1.18 you'll need to go to the release archive under downloads or I could also upload them here for posterity if there's any interest and if it's allowed.
