Just to highlight that the PreShow editor isn't accessible on the Nvidia Shield.  It launches but non of the buttons turn blue regardless of which direction you push the controller.  Same distribution works fine on Windows, so must be a shield / kodi issue?

I believe @garzilla uses the Shield?

@garzilla  Good to know if you can use the editor on your shield and whether you needed a workaround or things just worked out the box. 

I use the Shield, and I haven't had this issue.  I'll be down in the theater later and I'll check again, but I figured I would've noticed it by now.  What screen res are you using?

1920 by 1080 and using the Nvidia Shield remote to navigate.  Have also tried with the android app version of the remote with no luck.  Would be good to know if its simply an issue on my build.

I haven't had this issue with my Shield.  @garzilla sent me screen shots of his Shield and I can see the buttons highlighted.  

@StoviesWhat year Shield are you using, 2015 or 2019?  Are you use Kodi 19 or 20?

I'm using the 2019 model with Kodi 20.  I'll take a pic and post here.

That's the same setup that I have.  I just tested it again and didn't see anything out of place.

Can you confirm that you've restarted Kodi after installing PSE?  I've seen Kodi not read a skin variable on an initial install, but that gets resolved after a restart.

So, just to be certain, I've deleted and then re-installed Kodi and PreShow.  Reset the system a couple of times and still not getting a blue box to navigate the editor.  Picture attached.  I'm wondering if it has to do with the folder names in my PreShow folder?  I simply copied over the structure from my Cinemavision folder.  Could this be the problem?

I also have a 2019 shield and kodi 20 and it is working so far except some bugs, but there its possible to find a work around

@StoviesThe Auto Select button isn't showing up, which I am a bit stumped about.  

I don't think your content folder should have anything to do with this.  This shouldn't even need that to work.

mine is working on one shield. i'll set up the second one in a bit - we don't use PSE on that TV, but i'll set it up. one is older than the other. i forget which is which though...

This was fresh install - PreShow has never been on this box

Not sure what is happening on yours.  Feels like a bad install. 

Maybe download fresh kodi and PreShow

How are you installing them? 

Should be addons->install from zip

 

Thanks everyone.  I installed from the zip file.  So no idea what's going on.  Even after a full re-install.  Same issues.

@Stovies I have sort of been able to create the screen you are seeing.  It is unable to load the defaults.  The only difference is that when that happens to me there is a popup that asks to create a new or load the defaults. 

Please go into the PSE settings and pick a different folder for the content, click "update content" and then click "ok."  Don't put any content into those folders yet; just go to the sequence editor and see if you have the same results.

That should at least narrow it down to whether it is an issue the content or not.

@Matt  Thanks!  That tip helped me resolve the issue.  Old trivia packs upsetting things.  Now moved and everything is working sweet again.  Thank you so much!  It's great to have my pre-rolls all back and working 🙂
