Currently working out a series of videos for theater intros. Using Unreal Engine. Slow going but I hope to make one for every genre. At least I have one. I customized the Regal Cinemas 1990's roller coaster to my theater. Used some AI to change some wording in the narration and Davinci resolve to edit the text on the marque scroller. Hello, We’ve run into a portability issue when creating sequences in PreShow Experience on a desktop or non-media-server player. Currently, PreShow stores all media references as absolute file paths tied to the original machine. This means that if we move a PreShow project folder to another server or workstation, the sequence breaks because the media paths still point to the original device location. I've been working on a system that generates movie-specific content on the fly every time you launch a PreShow sequence. Instead of static slides, PSE now dynamically creates a "Tonight's Feature" title card and (optionally) 30 custom trivia slides tailored to whatever film you're about to watch. We frequently set up a collection of 10 to 20 slides as a pre-show before our programming for 30 or so minutes using the Slideshow module. However, we encounter the slideshow limitation: once all the slides have been displayed once, the slideshow ends, regardless of the total duration set. We've been notified by one of our hosting providers of scheduled maintenance that will take our mirror servers off air for a while. During this window, you will not have access to downloads of anything we host - so, basically any new downloads of the Kodi application and add-ons. Kodi itself will remain available where it's hosted in a third-party repository (e.g. an app store).
The window for this maintenance is:
Monday, January 12 2026, between 10AM and 6PM PST - so 18:00 12 January to 06:00 13 January UTC.
We'll obviously bring everything back on line as soon as we can, but assume no access within these hours. If you have to try installing anything, be aware that it will error and none of the admins will be able to check what's happening either. Please, just ignore any errors on launch for now, and wait until the mirrors all come back and synchronise.
