Maybe this will help a bit. I tested PreShow Experience 0.3.0.a2 on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2017 and Kodi 21 Omega with Skin: Estuary for PreShow Experience in Kodi 21 Omega 1.0.0. I wanted to test the "Execute Action at last Chapter" function for a few films. Unfortunately, the version didn't work on the Shield and caused Kodi to freeze shortly after I activated PSE. Kodi stopped, then continued to run after 1-2 minutes and froze again, etc. The whole thing didn't run smoothly. Even actions like the curtain up were delayed. After I reinstalled version 0.2.5, everything ran like clockwork again.

Hi All, I'm not sure if we are supposed to be discussing issues here or on the discord channel. For now I'll proceed here. I have installed PreShow and it seems to be working well, however, it is not displaying the rating screen prior to the move. This does work fine in Cinemavision. I have tried both importing a sequence from CV and creating a new sequence in PSE. I have included some log exerts below. Please let me know what else you might need to help resolve this problem. hi there, I just installed the latest preshow on Kodi 20 nexus on my Nvidia Shield. I configured a test sequence which has nothing more than a trailer and feature module. My basic wants for the addon are to just show some trailers before a movie. I set the content folder to my movie folder (because I wont be using local content for now) I selected imdb trailers and TMDB trailers When I test the sequence in the settings app it plays just fine, but when I use the content sensitive option on a movie and try to launch the preshow it starts to load but then just goes to the movie. Not sure why it is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated! …

help with sequence. I created two sequences. But when I try to take the second sequence it jumps to the first sequence every time. what could be the reason?

I’ve tried NFS and SMB on my synology NAS. Unfortunately, it won’t allow me to add the path on any of my external devices. So, for example - as long as I’m running PSE / Kodi on my Mac Mini - I can point directly to the folder and everything functions. If I go to any of my NVidia Shield TVs or Firecubes - no dice. I’m trying to keep my files and sequences on my NAS so all of my devices have access to them and any changes I make since I have some rather complex actions at play. Any advice? Any chance of allowing a manual input of the path? That would probably solve it on my end - if you can tell me where the path is stored - I could test it out if you like. Thanks!

Hi people! I got the following two problems. I use Kodi v20 on a Xbox one X and PSE isnt working correctly. - The Preview is working fine, excepte the audio format bumper. They are only played if I choose a specific file.. If I choose auto-select-mode, the audio bumper is just being skipped in the preview. So my question is, if there is a specific way, the files in the audio format bumpers must be named. I got different audio trailers in nearly effery folder, but nothing works. - If i try to start a movie with preview, it only worked one time. But also without audio bumper. All the other times i can only see the "queue" menue and when I select the movie and…

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I got a Synology Nas and since I moved all my PSE stuff from my externl drives to the NAS, i cant play the trailer sequence in my PreShows anymore, but everything else works fine. I updated the directory to the NAS, PSE is able to write to it, I could choose single files for the actions and I use NFS. I thought I could work around by adding a video module via directory, but then it does not show me my network storage. Only external drives and a root-system. But if I add a video module and choose a single file, I can choose the NFS Networkstorage. Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

Hi Matt, seems finally I was able to solve my random skipping issues like discussed here: https://preshowexperience.com/forums/topic/1913-feature-is-being-skipped/#findComment-2902 I disabled “allow skipping” in PSE settings. So far so good! Now I have the next issue. I am using external player in Kodi for windows. Kodi launches MPC-HC to play a file. Now it seems when starting the feature from PSE playback in external player stops after some seconds. Could it be that PSE does not get the current playback status from Kodi? Hi There, I have written a script in python to dynamically generate my pre-show content and place it in the relevant folders. In order to achieve the content generation I am using the library moviepy. Running the script from my shell works as expected but when testing the script from Kodi I get an import error no such module moviepy. My action file running this is a simple one liner: python://E:/PreShowExperience/setup_show.py Would anyone know how to resolve this import error? I would be very very grateful

Hi, first and foremost thank you for the work are you doing to support with project. I was wondering if there is a way to have a movie resume from the Kodi resume point with PSE? Whenever I use PSE it always starts the movie from the beginning. Am I missing something? Thanks

Hi all, as the title says really. I try and save and nothing happens, when I check the file list it's only got the defaults listed and if I load them it goes back to what it was. I have tried save as but get the same issue, nothing seems to save anywhere? Can I specify a directory, do I need to give some permissions somewhere?

Is there a way to pick Scope/Flat bumpers and other intros based on screen ratio or aspect ratio?

Is anyone else having issues with the editor selection screen not letting you select Play with the arrow keys ?? You have to push down when on the Edit Sequence instead of arrowing over to the play button ( on Android )

Hi, I am still struggling with the DialogBusy loading icon. Thats why I wanted to ask explicitly, if anyone who uses a Shield could manage to make it invisible. I had no problem when Kodi was installed on a PC. Now that I use a Shield and Arctic Zephyr reloaded. I acces the shield via network connection, open "internal/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/skin.arctic.zephyr/1080i and then I edit the DialogBusy and the CustomDialogBusy files. But even if I edit it to visible>false</visible, the loading icon remains there. (This works when Kodi is installed on a PC). Has anyone an idea what I am doing wrong?

I downloaded the “Coca-Cola Behind the scenes” slides from here and place the folder in the Slideshow folder. I installed the module and pointed to the folder. A couple things - can’t seem to change the duration - the slider moves, but the “seconds” doesn’t update. And when the sequence runs, it just skips that module. I also noticed that while editing this sequence, in red - lower right-hand corner, it says “INACTIVE” - which I don’t recall seeing previously. Any thoughts?

Is it possible when I start a film that I go to PSE without the PSE window opening again and having to select its opening credits. THX. One more question. Is it possible when a film shows the end credits that the Hue lamps turn on again? I can't get it. Only when the film is over do my Hue lights turn on again.

Would it be possible for PSE to scrape Kodi video sources for local trailers, instead of relying on the trailer folder in the content path? Over the years, I accumulated dozens of movie trailers with uncompressed HD audio that are saved in the corresponding movie folders, e.g.: Dune Part Two (2024) Dune Part Two (2024)-trailer Kodi automatically picks these up when I play trailers from the movie information screen. It would be awesome if I could tap into my existing collection without needing to manually copy them into the content path, also considering that doing so would double my storage requirements.

It's been a while since I selected Trailers in the Movie, Information (context menu) option. Today when selecting the Trailer icon, I got a dialog to Add-on YouTube. Then the Installation fails. Tried from the repository, and it failed too. How do I view trailers via this icon in the Information? I can view Trailers with IMDB Add-on, but I like the convenience when selecting the Movie, then using Information from the context menu (simple from my remote control).
