  1. I have this installed on another PC and it already looks polished and feels snappy. Feels more like a RC.

That's a known issue and I believe there's a workaround mentioned in the thread but that should be fixed in the next release. If you mention the issue there someone should be able to assist.

FWIW, one of the Kodi developers is working on a more recent release that allows you to integrate madVR into Kodi directly. It's still a work in progress obviously but I'm guessing it may allow you to use the credits trigger (and still use madVR, which I presume is why you're using MPC-HC as an external player). I wouldn't recommend installing it over your existing Kodi install, however, but install on another PC if possible and test it out first before making any switch. https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=223175&page=547

The credits trigger only work if using Kodi's built-in videoplayer. PSE doesn't communicate directly with external players like MPC-BE or mpv.
  5. Are you asking where you can download trailers? Here is where I get mine. They're VERY large but good quality, though you'll need to likely download to know which are Green trailers. https://www.digital-digest.com/movies/
  6. It's August 2nd and I haven't added the updated python file yet as I wanted to see if the action files would now cause an error or just fail to trigger the Philips Hue lights. It's still working at the moment, so perhaps the change is being rolled out somehow. I do see an update for the Philips Hue app in the Google Play Store but I've set it up to no longer auto update (both in the Play Store and within the app itself). Maybe the new app version implements the change / updates the bridge firmware?
  7. Thanks Matt. Will this be a temporary fix until we figure out how to update the action files or can this be applied as a permanent fix?
  8. I use an external player with Kodi and it works well. Since all my movies in my library are in the mkv format I have the playercorefactory.xml set up to only use the external player for mkv files. All downloaded trailers and video bumpers are mp4 (or I rename them to mp4) so Kodi's internal player will take care of those.
  9. Looks like Team-XBMC Developer tbiden20 is spearheading an upcoming Kodi release for Windows that will once again include DSPlayer (allows using madvr directly in Kodi) to be followed later with additional support for libplacebo. This is great news for those who don't want to contend with having to use external players for Kodi and the loss of resume functionality. Furthermore, one additional feature was just added that will benefit users of PreShow Experience directly, especially projector owners. See below for details. https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=223175&pid=3231774#pid3231774
  10. Overwrite. Sometimes those may be higher resolution versions of older logos. For example, this latest update includes new Atlas Film, Lucas Arts, Focus Features and Mandalay Pictures logos.
  11. It's been awhile since I've used ratings. I believe the rating was a video, but thinking about it perhaps it was an image that faded in then out? 🤔
  12. Yes that's good also, though I've moved mine out of the theater and one floor above.
  13. I don't use any other add-ons. PSE is all I need. :)
  14. Some NFO files in the movie poster cache could be missing the mpaa flag. Until the next movieposterapp dev release is available that allows us to select a default logo for missing mpaa and imdb flags, these posters will not show any ratings. The workaround is to manually edit the NFO file so that instead of the mpaa flag being empty it would say something like "<mpaa>R</mpaa>" or try refreshing the cached folders in the webremote. If you're on the same local network as the movieposterapp, I believe all you need to do is open a browser like Chrome on your phone / tablet / laptop and in the url enter: http://<movieposterapp IP address>:8082/remote.html Once connected, navigate to Menu > Poster Cache > Actions and choose Refresh Selected. If the mpaa flag is in the NFO but you're still not seeing the rating displayed, double check to make sure your folder is properly named "MPAA".
  15. The PreShow Experience addon for Kodi. It's the #1 "wow factor" when someone sees it in action for the first time -- trivia, intros, trailers, Philips Hue lighting control. It creates a very unique home theater experience.
