Add an "Enable/Disable All" Button
ammonrose commented on ammonrose's __defart_ideas_idea in Resolved
I've come to realize that when I have certain parts of the sequence already disabled and I try to "Preview" it will enable the already disabled parts and play them in the Preview. Is there a way to make it so that it disables all instead of just hitting the disable/enable button on every part of the sequence? -
option to preview individual module in sequence editor
ammonrose replied to Johno's topic in PreShow Experience
This is something I have noticed. What I am thinking is happening is that when you try to preview a singular part of the sequence it disables everything else, however, when you already have something disables it enables it and plays that part of the sequence as well. I'm not sure if it's a difficult change or not, but what needs to happen is to have it actually disable everything instead of just changing the enable/disable button on every part of the sequence. -

Awesome! I’m glad it helped make it easier! -
Play Each Part of the Sequence Individually

Thank you! -
Sounds good. I know you've got a lot on your plate so I appreciate that it's even on your to-do list. @marius thank you for your input as well. When I have some spare time I'll dive more into it.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into it and see how it goes. I do have an Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019).

Do we have official instructions on how to implement Philips Hue lights with PreShow so that they dim, shut off, and turn on at certain parts of the sequence? I want to be able to integrate this, and I've seen mentions here and there, but I just wanted to know if someone has made official instructions on how to do this. I haven't had time to actually go through the CinemaVision instructions so if they work without needing to edit, then I apologize in advance. Here are the CV instructions: Philips Hue Setup - Here Philips Hue Advanced Features - Here

From my understanding, Kodi can only support Dolby Vision if it's an mp4 format. All of my media is in mkv so I don't get the full experience yet. Also, I don't like that I have to use Kodi and Plex when I could just be using one without having to switch back and forth. I don't use Kodi unless I want to do the PreShow Experience, and all other times I'm using Plex. I like it's interface a lot more, and to show my bias a little, I have been with Plex for many years so I'm just used to using their platform more than Kodi's. With all the pros and cons aside, I am grateful that there are people out there willing to create something like the PreShow Experience, even if it's only available on certain platforms. I know it's a lot of work.

Oh I didn’t know he went to Plex. You’d think that give us a better chance! Maybe Matt could ask and see. The answer’s always no unless we ask, right?

That one would be awesome to have at lossless quality! -

What I meant to say was that it doesn’t come with surround sound. It’s just stereo unfortunately. Also, yeah since it’s YouTube it’s probably a more compressed version of 4K with a lower bitrate. It looks great! I just wish I could get the surround sound with it. -
Earlier I requested that we be able to play individual parts of the sequence so that we could test to make sure each video is playing what you want it to and that the video actually works, instead of either having to watch the whole sequence while skipping to where you are wanting to test, or disabling everything and keeping your one part of the sequence enabled. I thought that if we just have a quick "Enable/Disable All" button it would be easy to quickly disable all parts of the sequence and then go in and enable the one part you are wanting to test. I thought this might be a good workaround if my other request (here) isn't viable.

I could also see Halloween being an option. Thanksgiving is more of a day rather than a time of year, and I love Christmas so any Christmas stuff put out I'm always down!
-
When I am editing a sequence I have it play certain files for almost everything to keep it related to holidays such as Christmas or Halloween. Audio bumpers for example. When I add an audio bumper to the sequence, the menu where you are able to edit, rename, copy, move, disable/enable, and remove it would be nice to have a "Play" option so that you could play that individual part of the sequence. This would help when I'm wondering if that specific audio bumper is what I wanted. Since I have so many I forget which ones are which and being able to play that individual part of the sequence would be nice to quickly see if it was what I was looking for. This could be helpful with many things such as trivia and being able to quickly see if it's the right trivia you want, or trailers, intermission and all those other parts of the sequence. Being able to quickly view what you just added instead of having to watch the whole sequence to get to that part would be nice.

I'll look into that and give it a try when I get home from work. I'll keep you updated!

I’ve hit the fast forward and the right arrow buttons, but nothing happens. I am able to skip trivia slides, but it doesn’t change the time left.

To be honest, the files I have aren’t true 4K because I just used youtube-dl. If we could actually get the true 4K video I would absolutely love it! -
Any way we could have the ability to skip/ff the trivia section? Sometimes I forget to disable it depending on the audience I’m with and it’d be nice to have that ability rather than exiting, going to PreShow add on disabling trivia and going back to the movie.

My Nvidia Shield is set to begin a screensaver when there’s no activity for more than 5 minutes. If I have Trivia play for more than 5 minutes the screensaver will activate during the trivia sequence. I can just change the Shield settings to never go to sleep or make sure it’s longer than the trivia, but just wanted to bring it up in case it’s an easy fix.

Perfect! Thank you for your help! -
Pellucid would be incredible. It's so simplistic and has majestic backgrounds. I'd appreciate it if you could upload this skin.

I downloaded the Estuary skin, copied the DialogBusy.xml file to the skin I've been using (Pellucid) and it worked! It's a weird way to go about it, but it's working and that's okay with me! The only thing that doesn't work with this skin is that if you have music playing during the trivia sequence, it has a little icon at the top with the music information. I might have to stick with Estuary if I want to avoid that. Unfortunate, because I really like the Pellucid skin. -

That didn’t seem to work either. I’m going to duplicate this scenario on my laptop and see if it works. This will tell me if it’s an Nvidia Shield issue or not. -

So I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to this. I have changed the files and included the edits, but nothing changes when I play the movie. I can still see everything. I'm sure I have implemented them incorrectly so I apologize in advance, but I have provided the files in hopes that you would be able to take a look at them and let me know where I've gone wrong. It’s a workaround, so I appreciate it! I’ll give it a shot.
