    I use an external player with Kodi and it works well. Since all my movies in my library are in the mkv format I have the playercorefactory.xml set up to only use the external player for mkv files. All downloaded trailers and video bumpers are mp4 (or I rename them to mp4) so Kodi's internal player will take care of those.

    I'm planning on releasing updates to some of the old content when I get the new trivia functionality completed. I'll post back when that happens.
