Automatically Turn Lights On Once End Credits Begin

Would there be a way to add an action file that turns the home theater lights on once the end credits begin to roll, perhaps either by running an action file once the final chapter begins? Or perhaps, if a specific text file exists in the title's source directory (eg. lights-on.pse) containing nothing but a user-defined timestamp, at which point an action file to turn the lights on is then run? This would be helpful for titles that have no chapter markers or the desired time to turn the lights on it to wait until after a mid-credit scene.

Definitely want to see this feature implemented. Long over due. I like the second option with the timestamp because some movies have chapters that don't end on the credits or you may have a movie like Marvel that have mid-credit scenes where you want the lights to come on afterwards.

So I'm not sure if this might help or not.  There is a Kodi add-on called Stinger Scene Notification. This add-on notifies you of stinger scenes in the current movie, popping up a notification when the credits roll. It uses tags to identify movies that have a stinger scene.    The important part of this is that somehow it knows when the credits are starting to roll.  Perhaps this can be modified/incorporated into PSE to handle turning on the lights and perhaps other functions as well.

You can trigger your lights with Home assistant and even do some more robust automation with it like turning off the projector/tv or sending a kodi call method to play some exit music. But the functionality to be able to trigger a script to notify home assistant at the end of a movie sequence would still be needed within the PSE add-on

I know there are a ton of other things that are probably on the to-do list, but I wanted to ask if there has been any update with this? I recently got into action files and I think this is a phenomenal idea!

Doesnt the sequence ceeps running, even if there is a script saying sleep:70000000 (just as example). So you could put a script with the timestamp as a sleep function just right before the movie which turns on the light when the sleep-time is finished

But I am not sure if the sequence really keeps running or if it would completely sleep until the time is over and then start the movie.

Another Problem is that you would need an extra sequence for each movie with the fitting timestamp / sleep command...

I have done some research on it and have some preliminary code, but nothing really to report at this time.

I know that the devs have been busy (and also have a life aside from this) so I totally get it when progress is slow on feature requests. I'm not intending to annoy in any way, I'm just looking for an update on this. Wondering if we've been able to get any closer because when this becomes possible it will make the PreShow Experience that much better!

Hope you are all enjoying the holidays and MERRY... I mean, happy Thanksgiving in a few weeks!

I haven't made any progress on it.  I'm still very aware of the interest in the feature though.

There will be a new action setting for the last chapter in the next version.  I'll look into other time based options at a later date.
