Hi, first time user. A problem with initial setup. When selecting content path I get the error "Make sure the selected folder is writable and that the new folder name is valid". I'm on the latest Nvidia Shield TV Pro. External SSD and the path is within a root folder named NVIDIA_SHIELD (as can be required for some scenarios on the Shield). Tried other folders on the SSD without luck. The SSD works fine with other apps like VLC and Plex. Tried downgrading to 0.3.0. Same result. Any suggestion?

How can I use the PSE Addon with the Kodi Remote app on my iPad, because I would like to turn my iPad into a control Center for my HomeCinema. Thanks

Maybe this will help a bit. I tested PreShow Experience 0.3.0.a2 on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2017 and Kodi 21 Omega with Skin: Estuary for PreShow Experience in Kodi 21 Omega 1.0.0. I wanted to test the "Execute Action at last Chapter" function for a few films. Unfortunately, the version didn't work on the Shield and caused Kodi to freeze shortly after I activated PSE. Kodi stopped, then continued to run after 1-2 minutes and froze again, etc. The whole thing didn't run smoothly. Even actions like the curtain up were delayed. After I reinstalled version 0.2.5, everything ran like clockwork again.

I’ve tried NFS and SMB on my synology NAS. Unfortunately, it won’t allow me to add the path on any of my external devices. So, for example - as long as I’m running PSE / Kodi on my Mac Mini - I can point directly to the folder and everything functions. If I go to any of my NVidia Shield TVs or Firecubes - no dice. I’m trying to keep my files and sequences on my NAS so all of my devices have access to them and any changes I make since I have some rather complex actions at play. Any advice? Any chance of allowing a manual input of the path? That would probably solve it on my end - if you can tell me where the path is stored - I could test it out if you like. Thanks!

Hello, I love this addon but I cannot get it to work properly for me. I have a simple setup with a random intro video, three trailers, audio bumpers, then the feature. My problem lies with the trailers. Whenever I run PSE, it plays the intro video then attempts trailer playback. However, this stutters, then freezes mid-frame, then it simply crashes the trailer and tries again with the next one. This happens so often that I have temporarily abandoned the addon until I can work out what's causing this and fix it. How would you best recommend accomplishing this? I was thinking of using python and the StartAndroidActivity() function, but I was running into errors. Has anyone successfully figured out how to launch an app? I'm basically wanting to launch VLC on sequence pause with a pseaction to emulate a commercial since we dont have the function to add markers mid-features yet. Edit: Bonus points if you know how to launch a video already playing - I'm thinking of using tasker to auto play video once VLC launches.

Hi There, I have written a script in python to dynamically generate my pre-show content and place it in the relevant folders. In order to achieve the content generation I am using the library moviepy. Running the script from my shell works as expected but when testing the script from Kodi I get an import error no such module moviepy. My action file running this is a simple one liner: python://E:/PreShowExperience/setup_show.py Would anyone know how to resolve this import error? I would be very very grateful

First off - thanks for this great contribution to the kodi eco-sphere. I only have one issue. I notice that for some of the modules in my sequence (e.g. a folder of theatrical prevues) - they play at 60% volume. In every area I can change the volume--in the setup, but also in the sequence editor setting for the associated module--it is set to 100%. But upon playback I can see it's at 60%. Another module (trailers) plays as expected. And then when the film itself plays, the volume returns to where Kodi was previously set at. I tried digging right into the .seq file I exported, and also the files in addon_data but don't see where it's pulling these volume changes. Any idea…

It's been a while since I selected Trailers in the Movie, Information (context menu) option. Today when selecting the Trailer icon, I got a dialog to Add-on YouTube. Then the Installation fails. Tried from the repository, and it failed too. How do I view trailers via this icon in the Information? I can view Trailers with IMDB Add-on, but I like the convenience when selecting the Movie, then using Information from the context menu (simple from my remote control).

Is it possible when I start a film that I go to PSE without the PSE window opening again and having to select its opening credits. THX. One more question. Is it possible when a film shows the end credits that the Hue lamps turn on again? I can't get it. Only when the film is over do my Hue lights turn on again.

Hello, I have a problem with MPC-HC. To explain: I'm using a PC with MadVR and Kodi Omega. I use MPC-HC as an external player – it basically works. I've also integrated the PSE add-on and configured it so that the lights go out when the movie starts and come back on during the credits. When I start the movie via Kodi, the lights turn off as intended, but they don't turn back on during the credits. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi, first and foremost thank you for the work are you doing to support with project. I was wondering if there is a way to have a movie resume from the Kodi resume point with PSE? Whenever I use PSE it always starts the movie from the beginning. Am I missing something? Thanks

I've been looking and I can't seem to find an area to set a clip to play before each video is played. Is this possible? And if so, where might I find this?

Hoping someone can shed light on this, Ive got a fresh Kodi 20.2 installed to Mac OS Catalina. I've downloaded the modified Estuary Skin and PSE script. Installing the modified Estuary went fine, but as soon as I attempt to install the PSE script 1.2, Kodi crashes to desktop. I've also tried the 1.1 version of the script, same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I see this feature is added to the newest version which is great because I've been switching manually between sequences with an IMAX bumper for full screen aspect ratio movies so I wanted to try out this new feature but I cannot find it anywhere. How can we set this filter?

Hi, I am still struggling with the DialogBusy loading icon. Thats why I wanted to ask explicitly, if anyone who uses a Shield could manage to make it invisible. I had no problem when Kodi was installed on a PC. Now that I use a Shield and Arctic Zephyr reloaded. I acces the shield via network connection, open "internal/Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/skin.arctic.zephyr/1080i and then I edit the DialogBusy and the CustomDialogBusy files. But even if I edit it to visible>false</visible, the loading icon remains there. (This works when Kodi is installed on a PC). Has anyone an idea what I am doing wrong?

Background: I'm using Xonfluence because of its possibilities to change the menues. Hi everyone / Matt, is it / how is it possible to make PSE play a Theatre Intro movie endlessly until I press a key on my remote (Fast Forward or whatelse skips within the sequence)? I would like to have a still picture and a song at the beginning (opening the cinema, guests are coming) as long as it takes. Then I press a key and the preshow continues. I've tried a loop but don't know what kind of "Condition" should I mark? (Any help?) Also I've tried a Trivia with several slides of the same picture and a music file in the background. Works - but the music doesn't loop. What's the best way to have an intro endlessly with an exit? Thank you …

Hi! Long time fan of PSE and started using it on my Zidoo, but every time I create a sequence, I am not able to correctly use the action files i downloaded here to disable the Zidoo file before my sequence starts and enable it before my feature starts. Can someone show me the way to make something like this happen? I would like to play at least my feature using the Zidoo native player. Thanks!
