Hi guys, new to the program, I'm kind of stumbling at the first hurdle here so I'm hoping someone can help. I've got my content folders for bumpers/trailers etc but I'm a bit lost to either how I'm meant to add my videos to features or if I'm meant to set up a content path for features etc. Hoping someone can help.

Hello! Where do I go wrong? When I insert a module into a sequence (by accident or somehow) I‘m not able to delete (remove) the icon… PSE says „The PreShow must have a feature module.“ The sequence does have a feature module at its end! I use PSE 0.2.5 where I read something about „… can be deleted“ - so I think I‘m wrong. But how? Thanks to all! Greetings from Bavaria - Robert

Hi everyone. Beginner here. I managed to install preshow on my shield. Also installed both the modified rapier skin and the aeon knox skin. No matter what I do, with either skins, I can't get the context menu to show any options to launch a sequence from preshow experience. I tried searching around for answes, but I can't find anything adressing this issue. I am using the shield remote. Thank you in advance! Any help is much appreciated.

Hey guys, long time lurker and user of PSE - absolutely immense addon. But I've been having issues scraping in trailers within the Kodi database since the V3 alpha dropped (tried in both Kodi 20 and Kodi 21, same issues on both), and as a result it's broken what are pretty authentic sequences I've been building in the addon. Hi There, I have written a script in python to dynamically generate my pre-show content and place it in the relevant folders. In order to achieve the content generation I am using the library moviepy. Running the script from my shell works as expected but when testing the script from Kodi I get an import error no such module moviepy. My action file running this is a simple one liner: python://E:/PreShowExperience/setup_show.py Would anyone know how to resolve this import error? I would be very very grateful

Forgive me if this is a stupid question I am coming from cinemavision. What is the difference between content in Sponsors directory compared to Commercials . Also what type of content goes in PreShow directory.

Hi everyone / Matt, is it / how is it possible to make PSE play a Theatre Intro movie endlessly until I press a key on my remote (Fast Forward or whatelse skips within the sequence)? I would like to have a still picture and a song at the beginning (opening the cinema, guests are coming) as long as it takes. Then I press a key and the preshow continues. I've tried a loop but don't know what kind of "Condition" should I mark? (Any help?) Also I've tried a Trivia with several slides of the same picture and a music file in the background. Works - but the music doesn't loop. What's the best way to have an intro endlessly with an exit? Thank you …

One could trick cinemavision to work with discs (Bluray / DVD) as well. I'm not quite sure how I did it, but it either worked by playing a directory using two files ("empty" with black screen & media stub for disc playback) or by using a playlist file containing the media stub file. Playback could be triggered by running a python script in the menu. If I remember correctly this did no longer work starting with Kodi 19 or at least I'm currently unable to reproduce this behaviour. I tried to recreate this, but to no avail. I also tried starting the disc directly with the PlayDisc()-command and having basically no feature. This will work when testing in the edit…

How would you best recommend accomplishing this? I was thinking of using python and the StartAndroidActivity() function, but I was running into errors. Has anyone successfully figured out how to launch an app? I'm basically wanting to launch VLC on sequence pause with a pseaction to emulate a commercial since we dont have the function to add markers mid-features yet. Edit: Bonus points if you know how to launch a video already playing - I'm thinking of using tasker to auto play video once VLC launches.

Hi all I've installed this on my Shield with Kodi and configured everything to the guides. But I don't see any mention as to how I start this? I was hoping for a menu item when long pressing on a movie or it even starts automatically when I start the movie, but nothing so far. What do I need to do? Thanks

I downloaded the “Coca-Cola Behind the scenes” slides from here and place the folder in the Slideshow folder. I installed the module and pointed to the folder. A couple things - can’t seem to change the duration - the slider moves, but the “seconds” doesn’t update. And when the sequence runs, it just skips that module. I also noticed that while editing this sequence, in red - lower right-hand corner, it says “INACTIVE” - which I don’t recall seeing previously. Any thoughts?

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I got a Synology Nas and since I moved all my PSE stuff from my externl drives to the NAS, i cant play the trailer sequence in my PreShows anymore, but everything else works fine. I updated the directory to the NAS, PSE is able to write to it, I could choose single files for the actions and I use NFS. I thought I could work around by adding a video module via directory, but then it does not show me my network storage. Only external drives and a root-system. But if I add a video module and choose a single file, I can choose the NFS Networkstorage. Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

I’ve tried NFS and SMB on my synology NAS. Unfortunately, it won’t allow me to add the path on any of my external devices. So, for example - as long as I’m running PSE / Kodi on my Mac Mini - I can point directly to the folder and everything functions. If I go to any of my NVidia Shield TVs or Firecubes - no dice. I’m trying to keep my files and sequences on my NAS so all of my devices have access to them and any changes I make since I have some rather complex actions at play. Any advice? Any chance of allowing a manual input of the path? That would probably solve it on my end - if you can tell me where the path is stored - I could test it out if you like. Thanks!

Hello, I love this addon but I cannot get it to work properly for me. I have a simple setup with a random intro video, three trailers, audio bumpers, then the feature. My problem lies with the trailers. Whenever I run PSE, it plays the intro video then attempts trailer playback. However, this stutters, then freezes mid-frame, then it simply crashes the trailer and tries again with the next one. This happens so often that I have temporarily abandoned the addon until I can work out what's causing this and fix it. hi there, I just installed the latest preshow on Kodi 20 nexus on my Nvidia Shield. I configured a test sequence which has nothing more than a trailer and feature module. My basic wants for the addon are to just show some trailers before a movie. I set the content folder to my movie folder (because I wont be using local content for now) I selected imdb trailers and TMDB trailers When I test the sequence in the settings app it plays just fine, but when I use the content sensitive option on a movie and try to launch the preshow it starts to load but then just goes to the movie.
