  2. Python Dependency for Action

    Hi There, I have written a script in python to dynamically generate my pre-show content and place it in the relevant folders. In order to achieve the content generation I am using the library moviepy. Running the script from my shell works as expected but when testing the script from Kodi I get an import error no such module moviepy. My action file running this is a simple one liner: python://E:/PreShowExperience/setup_show.py Would anyone know how to resolve this import error? I would be very very grateful

  4. Intro (movie or still with sound) endlessly - exit by pressing key

    Hi everyone / Matt, is it / how is it possible to make PSE play a Theatre Intro movie endlessly until I press a key on my remote (Fast Forward or whatelse skips within the sequence)? I would like to have a still picture and a song at the beginning (opening the cinema, guests are coming) as long as it takes. Then I press a key and the preshow continues. I've tried a loop but don't know what kind of "Condition" should I mark? (Any help?) Also I've tried a Trivia with several slides of the same picture and a music file in the background. Works - but the music doesn't loop. What's the best way to have an intro endlessly with an exit? Thank you …

    First I wan´t to thank for PreShow Experience. I love it, because it brings the real cinema feeling to your home. In the past I used cinemavision for years but there isn´t any more support. I use PSE with a Nvidia Shiled TV 2019. My question: Is there a chance in PSE for time delay in my action file?   6. Estuary default skin: context support? (Kodi 19.5)

    I'm trying to re-create the experience I had with CinemaVision where I could press the context button on a movie then have an option to play back using that CV button/menuitem rather than a normal "Play". I'm using Estuary (the default skin). How can I get the PSE option to show up in context? (I did try installing the Estuary PSE skin but it fails with a xbmc-gui version 5.16.0 unmet dependency error. Thanks.

  7. Disc Support

    One could trick cinemavision to work with discs (Bluray / DVD) as well. I'm not quite sure how I did it, but it either worked by playing a directory using two files ("empty" with black screen & media stub for disc playback) or by using a playlist file containing the media stub file. Playback could be triggered by running a python script in the menu. If I remember correctly this did no longer work starting with Kodi 19 or at least I'm currently unable to reproduce this behaviour.   8. Launching Android Apps from Nvidia Shield via Action

    How would you best recommend accomplishing this? I was thinking of using python and the StartAndroidActivity() function, but I was running into errors. Has anyone successfully figured out how to launch an app? I'm basically wanting to launch VLC on sequence pause with a pseaction to emulate a commercial since we dont have the function to add markers mid-features yet. Edit: Bonus points if you know how to launch a video already playing - I'm thinking of using tasker to auto play video once VLC launches.

    Hi all I've installed this on my Shield with Kodi and configured everything to the guides. But I don't see any mention as to how I start this? I was hoping for a menu item when long pressing on a movie or it even starts automatically when I start the movie, but nothing so far. What do I need to do? Thanks

  10. Slideshow module working?

    I downloaded the “Coca-Cola Behind the scenes” slides from here and place the folder in the Slideshow folder. I installed the module and pointed to the folder. A couple things - can’t seem to change the duration - the slider moves, but the “seconds” doesn’t update. And when the sequence runs, it just skips that module. I also noticed that while editing this sequence, in red - lower right-hand corner, it says “INACTIVE” - which I don’t recall seeing previously. Any thoughts?

  13. PSE doesnt play trailer since everything moved from external drive to NAS

    Hi, I hope someone can help me. I got a Synology Nas and since I moved all my PSE stuff from my externl drives to the NAS, i cant play the trailer sequence in my PreShows anymore, but everything else works fine. I updated the directory to the NAS, PSE is able to write to it, I could choose single files for the actions and I use NFS. I thought I could work around by adding a video module via directory, but then it does not show me my network storage. Only external drives and a root-system. But if I add a video module and choose a single file, I can choose the NFS Networkstorage. Has anyone an idea what the problem could be?

  14. PSE Content Path on NAS - can’t add

    I’ve tried NFS and SMB on my synology NAS. Unfortunately, it won’t allow me to add the path on any of my external devices. So, for example - as long as I’m running PSE / Kodi on my Mac Mini - I can point directly to the folder and everything functions. If I go to any of my NVidia Shield TVs or Firecubes - no dice. I’m trying to keep my files and sequences on my NAS so all of my devices have access to them and any changes I make since I have some rather complex actions at play. Any advice? Any chance of allowing a manual input of the path? That would probably solve it on my end - if you can tell me where the path is stored - I could test it out if you like. Thanks!

  15. Trailers stuttering, freezing then crashing

    Hello, I love this addon but I cannot get it to work properly for me. I have a simple setup with a random intro video, three trailers, audio bumpers, then the feature. My problem lies with the trailers. Whenever I run PSE, it plays the intro video then attempts trailer playback. However, this stutters, then freezes mid-frame, then it simply crashes the trailer and tries again with the next one. This happens so often that I have temporarily abandoned the addon until I can work out what's causing this and fix it.     hi there, I just installed the latest preshow on Kodi 20 nexus on my Nvidia Shield. I configured a test sequence which has nothing more than a trailer and feature module. My basic wants for the addon are to just show some trailers before a movie. I set the content folder to my movie folder (because I wont be using local content for now) I selected imdb trailers and TMDB trailers When I test the sequence in the settings app it plays just fine, but when I use the content sensitive option on a movie and try to launch the preshow it starts to load but then just goes to the movie.   21. Not working - *edit: Fixed*

    *Fixed* - Issue was that there were multiple sequences set up as the default, so it was failing. I only needed one sequence for my system, so I removed the others and it is working as expected now. ---------------- I set up the addon and built out my outline.   24. Kodi crashing when I attempt to install PSE

    Hoping someone can shed light on this, Ive got a fresh Kodi 20.2 installed to Mac OS Catalina. I've downloaded the modified Estuary Skin and PSE script. Installing the modified Estuary went fine, but as soon as I attempt to install the PSE script 1.2, Kodi crashes to desktop. I've also tried the 1.1 version of the script, same result.   25. Black Screen at Feature

    Wondering if anyone can help. Everything with my setup works fine until i get to the main feature. It will show the ratings bumper for the main feature and when that fades it just rains black. Any Idea what the problem might be? I'm running on Nvidia Shield.
