Nothing particularily scares me but for genre films this month. Also my definition of good include terri-bad movies. But off the top of my head As always - all the original Nightmare on Elm Street films Willy's Wonderland Beetlejuice Beetlejuice C.H.U.D. The Gathering Salem's Lot (new one) Thanksgiving The Hearse Villiage of the Damned Leprechaun The Town that Dreaded Sundown And lots more. But I'm a horror all year kind of guy

So 1999 was a good year for films with one of my all-time celebrity crushes, Saffron Burrows. March brought us a movie many despise and that I love - Wing Commander. And then July brought us Deep Blue Sea, one of my favourite shark movies. I can watch these movies back-to-back multiple times a year even 25 years later.

Personally, I wouldn't generate new slides at a resolution less than 1920x1080. I wish I could have created all my old slides at a higher resolution and exported them at 1080p. Because now I could re-export at 1440p or 4K At 1080p they don't look bad on a 4K display, but depending on the source material many of my old 480p and 720p slides look awful. So basically I'd create anything new at the highest possible resolution based on available source material and then export at the resolution of my display but keep the originals to update later at a higher resolution. Also, most free upscaling tools I've tried have done a pretty poor job at it, but your mileage may vary.

Today I watched Totally Killer on Prime not amazing but also not terrible. Also the 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre meh/ok. Razorback, Slotherhouse, Jason X (can't help myself), Death Ship and Pontypool also made the cut this week. There were more but I can't remember them all.

Cabin in the woods is excellent. I'm watching the lesser spin-off series from Night of the Living Dead today. Russo's Return of.... series. Romero's stuff was better but the cheese level is way higher in Russo's

What's on everyone's watchlist for spooky season? I'm starting out with a standard summer camp revenge flick The Burning (1981) Will definitely watch at least a couple A Nightmare on Elm Street & Friday the 13th It's obligatory to watch some Halloween but always have trouble deciding which of the 3 timelines that start from Halloween (1978) I should go with https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-original-timeline https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-ends or https://thetvdb.com/lists/halloween-alternate-reality (The continuity on this is worse than Terminator) Idle Hands because for whatever reason I love this movie Probably some Final Destination But that won't fill 31 nights so recommend me your favourites.
