Hi.

The addon has started showing trailers for old films, some as far back as 2015! Is there a way to only show new films or ones coming soon?

IMDB & TMDB, is it worth disabling IMDB then? How new should the trailer be for the scrapers to use them normally?

I just fixed the IMDB trailers yesterday, so you should be able to use it. It included yet to be released movies up to 2 months prior to the day.

The current TMDB trailer scraper api used by PreShow includes some movies that have already been released.

I don't know if I'd recommend using both. Most people seem to prefer 1 or the other. TMDB used youtube. It has more reliable trailers, but you have to deal with it being youtube.

I'm going to be overhauling the trailer system in PreShow to hopefully make it where you are just picking what format of trailers that you want to use and the content is more consistent regardless of which format you use.

That's great, nice work. When you say you fixed it, does that mean there's an update to the addon which needs to be downloaded?

The trailers will work on the latest versions of PreShow without an update. Trailers use to require updates every time they broke, so I added a website middleware to do the scraping portion of it and PreShow now just looks at that link.

That being said, PreShow doesn't delete all your current trailer records and install the new ones. You can reset your content database and scan your content to make sure that you are getting the latest content, if you want to see the new trailers immediately. Also, the trailers can only be scraped a max of 1 time a day.
